A member asked:

What about babies that don't have protection b/c they haven't gotten both flu shots due to age? if a baby gets the flu do they typically get better?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Most do: Flu can hit an any age and the outcome varies. We recommend that pregnant women get the flu injected vaccine during pregnancy so the antibodies she makes will be shared and protect baby in its early months. Those that come in close contact with a new baby should also get a flu shot,so they don't bring it to baby.Early recognition and care can lead to good outcomes if a baby gets flu.
