Blepharitis..: .is inflammation of the eyelids.It occurs when tiny oil glands near the base of the eyelashes become clogged. It is not contagious nor does it cause damage to your eyesight. It may be related to seborrheic dermatitis (dandruff), a bacterial infection, malfunctioning eyelid oil glands. Washing eyelids with baby shampoo, using only clean towels helps.Topical antibiotics and/or steroids may be needed
