More info needed: How long ago was the filling done? Does the tooth hurt only with temperature and pressure, or does it hurt all the time? If it is a recently placed filling, and you can give it a chance to heal a bit, then wait. If the pain is overwhelming, then root canal therapy.

What to do?: Call the dentist who just treated you and discuss what you're feeling. It sounds like the nerve may be irreversibly inflamed and the tooth may require Root Canal Therapy. There might be other options however so the sooner you call the sooner you'll be out of pain.
