Anxiety?: I see that you wonder if your itching is caused by chronic anxiety. Yes, that is a POSSIBILITY, especially if your MD has told you nothing is wrong physically. You can visit a mental health professional who can teach you some ways to cope w/anxiety such as clinical hypnosis (www.asch.net) or relaxation training. Absolutely: Hi ,yes. When you worry or are anxious, your body's stress response is activated, and this can cause a whole host of symptoms, including skin itching and burning. Bear in mind that when chronic, it can take some time to resolve your body's overly stressed state, but with practice you can get it under control. Consider therapy, but for self help: http://www.moodjuice.scot.nhs.uk/anxiety.asp. Best
