Confusing but...: The question's wording is confusing, but itching can be due to allergies to something (a doctor's exam, blood tests, or skin tests can help figure out what), but usually there is some rash. Other causes of itching can be liver disease, kidney disease, or other internal problems. Certain medications also cause itching. Find a better Dr: Chlorpheniramine, like all antihistamines, may be useful for urticaria, of which there are several types. It is not possible, because you lack any description suggesting it, to guess what you need. If chlorphenirimine releives your itch it is only by sedation. This may make you accident- prone, so use it, if at all, only at bedtime.Best recourse is to see a dermatologist. Exactly which blood tests
