No worries: For every person with a diagnosed MRSA infection, probably 100 others are carriers. At a busy cash register, probably several customers each day carry staph, often MRSA. The person diagnosed with an active MRSA infection is no more risk to you than all the others. Just use common sense hygiene, like frequent hand washing or alcohol gel. (You're at much higher risk of colds or flu than MRSA.)
