Knee pain: Tendonitis may have developed during your hospitalization despite relative inactivity. Gout or arthritis are less likely. If you can take them, anti-inflammatory medications like ibuprofen or Aleve for several days should help. If there is any calf pain,tenderness or swelling, have a physician examine you to check for phlebitis which can develop during prolonged bed rest.
