Preterm labor: There are few things than can be done if there are concerns about preterm labor. A FFN (fetal fibronectin) test can show that the risk of preterm labor is low if the test is normal. A sonogram cervical length can also be used to predict risk. Steroids often should be given to the mom the accelerate the fetal lung maturity. Bedrest can be prescribed in some cases but should be individualized
