Don't: Your ob/gyn prescribed Dostinex (cabergoline) at just 1/2 tab twice per week to minimize side effects. Your doctor may increase the dose after a few weeks. Please follow your doctor's instructions.

The most common : Use is for prolactinomas. Starting dose is 0.25 twice a day increasing to 1mg twice a day using prolactin levels as a guide. Also use for early parkinson's and by some gyn for uterine fibroids. Can cause orthostatic hypotension if increase without indication. Also increase bp. Did you have a prior 2d echocardiogram? Cases of valvular heart disease reported. Echo follow up every 6-12 mos.
