A member asked:

Can dandy-walker syndrome be mistaken for a brain cyst as a 41-year old adult?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Dandy Walker: Syndrome can be associated with fluid-filled cysts in certain parts of the brain, commonly the cerebellum. It's not mistaken for a brain cyst. There may be other structural abnormalities. Most people afflicted with Dandy Walker Syndrome have obvious neurologic and/or cognitive deficiencies starting in early childhood. Dr. Anne.
