Dr. Kevin Yoo answered

Most likely normal: This insufficient information , but most brain cysts are arachnoid cysts which are typically congenital, benign, and rarely need surgery. If the arachnoid cyst is very large, it can cause headaches and your daughter may need from surgery. If the radiologist called it arachnoid cyst, your Family Dr. is probably right. Make sure you read the MRI report and ask this question again giving the size.
