Medication: alone is not a good thing. The combination of meds and therapy has been found to be most helpful for many conditions. Generally speaking, if your psychiatrist gives you notice and provides the names of other docs to refer you to, he/she can stop seeing you. Peace and good health. Why do you resist therapy? As if group therapy is ok which you may be more open to.

Well: You should be following the medical advice. If you do not you can be discharged as a patient and or referred elsewhere. Now therapy is a very important part of mental health treatment. So you should be following his advice if you want to get better
