YES, usually!: Because xanax (alprazolam) is a tranquilizer that binds to the same receptor complex in the brain as ethanol (alcohol), they can amplify each other's effects! i've seen people who usually have no problem with a glass of wine or two, fall face down in their plate after taking a tranquilizer beforehand! so you must be very careful... But, generally, one glass of red wine (has resveritol) is good 4u!
