Head cold: With a head cold the nasal membranes do swell and discharge watery mucus. Is your nose running and draining mucus? If not, try warm water nasal irrigations or a nasal spray of salt water mist to promote drainage. If still no drainage you may be dealing with nasal polyps or allergies. An otolaryngologist can evaluate, advise and treat you after making the proper diagnosis.
