Not really: The epidural should cause numbness from the wiat down to your toes. PLease consult with the anesthesiologist who administered the injection.

Pain vs sensation: Sounds like the epidural blocked some sensory nerve fibers, but not a complete pain block for you. Usually, a carefully administered second injection can help block more pain more completely
