More information.: It is probably not connected, but without more information, it is impossible to be certain. Heel infections have been diagnosed as plantar fasciitis on more than one occasion. The results of the misdiagnosis can have serious consequences. To remove all doubt, have you foot evaluated by a foot specialist.
