Possible tear: Meniscus pain in a young person is a possible meniscus tear. Meniscus tears generally cause intermittent joint line pain associated with twisting, cutting and squatting activities. You may get a catching or locking sensation. See a medical provider for X-rays and an MRI to evaluate for a rear.
