NO: this is not a usual side effect of naproxyn.

Dr. Miller is correct (as usual!). If you have been in pain for a while though and it is relieved by the naproxen, then being pain free may allow you to sleep, when the pain was keeping you awake before. Always take it with food (no dairy, though). Never take it if you have nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, abdominal pain, or on an empty stomach. Do not take it with aspirin or ibuprofen, either.

This is listed as a potential adverse effect of naproxen (Aleve) with an incidence of up to 9%. I have had a few patients report they get somnolent from NSAIDs, although given it's mechanism of action I can't imagine why it would make anyone drowsy.
