My 9 year old has been choking lately. today she choked and panicked so we took her to the er. her xray showed an air bubble. what causes this?

Air bubble: Likely in the stomach where it belongs but would need to see the XR. If she has recurrent choking; she may require a swallowing study with barium. If she had a tear in her esophagus; it is unlikely she would be discharged. All the best.
