very unlikely cancer: Esophageal cancer is much more common in men than women. If your prior egd did not show barrett's esophagus then your chances of developing esophageal cancer in the lower 1/2 of your esophagus are extremely small. Your symptoms may be from acid reflux.

Unlikely: Assuming the endoscopy was done properly, the chances of an esophageal cancer developing so quickly in a young, non smoking woman are very slim. Many other things could cause your symptoms. Do not panic but do visit your doc. You may need swallowing studies or other tests.
