My 14 year old son had his tonsils and adenoids removed 2 days ago. he keeps waking up choking and gasping for air absolutely terrified (4 times) is this normal ? hes taking tylenol for pain. his tonsils were cartorized due to exessive bleeding?

Possible pulmonary hypertension. If he has had chronic upper airway obstruction manifested by sleep apnea, he could have developed pulmonary hypertension. I would recommend to have him evaluated by a pediatric cardiologist.
