Thyroid size: Thyroid does not change with size of the body but by iodine content. So ideally it may be 6 to 7 cm in size however if there is a n inherent iodine deficiency it can enlarge to form a goiter or simply enlargement. Other raw materials required are selenium and vitamin B's. Amino acid tyrosine. Hope this answers your question
