Thyroid nodule measured 3.1 cm and both lobes around 6 cm last year. fna was normal. now nodule is 3.6 cm and both lobes are now around 4 cm. causes?

Not "normal": I'm going to assume that the fine needle aspiration showed either "adenoma" or "nodular goiter". These things do grow. You may ask about surgery, if you wish, just because of the mass effect. Best wishes.
