I have de quervains tendinosis and was told to wear a splint. after wearing a splint for one day, the pain has gone from minor to severe. what now?

Meds/ice/injection: If you can tolerate anti-inflammatories (no ulcers or high blood pressure, etc.), Ibuprofen 2-3 times/day or naproxen (Aleve) 2 times/day can be used. Icing for 20 minutes 3-5 times/day is another option. Personally, I find cortisone (steroid) injections very effective for this condition.
