Hip Dysplasia is a complex disorder that can change over time based on a child's growth pattern and genetics. Most children show healing within the first few years. There are a few that get worse. The best advice would be to take all of your documentation to a second orthopedic surgeon and get a second opinion. Without complete details it is not possible to make a meaningful list of pros/cons.
