High WBC: One clue is in the differential count of your CBC. Neutrophils (granulocytes) fight bacteria whereas monocytes and other lymphocytes fight viruses. Also, consider that perhaps your antibiotic is not working, and might need to be changed to a different antibiotic to cure your infection. Go back to the doctor.
