Triglycerides: Your serum triglyceride level should be under 150. If you have no other risk factors for cardiovascular disease you could try a diet low in carbohydrates with avoidance of alcohol and taking omega 3 fish oil. These measures may bring your triglycerides down within 2 or 3 months without prescription medication. A dietician can outline a diet for you.
