My husband had a liver transplant last year in jan 2015 but it did not rid him of hepatic encephalopathy his is bad his memory is horrible?

May not be hepatic?: There R many possible causes of bad memory. If your husband had hepatic encephalopathy, & now has a normal functioning liver, other causes of brain dysfunction have to be considered. In other words, if the new liver is functioning normally, it is unreasonable to assume that hepatic encephalopathy is causing the current memory problem. Dr. Mike
