Why would my mri show my distal clavicle as white with all other bone dark? my ortho will be shaving down that end just wondering what would cause it.

Sclerosis: Degenerative changes ocurting in the joint between the clavicle and the acromion can cause sclerotic changes to occur in the clavicle. This makes the bone marrow a different density and therefore a different color of the Mari scan from more normal areas of bone.
