I just got x-rays on my wrist from a 7wk injury and the ortho saw a cyst on my scaphoid bone but cant tell whether or not it is a fracture. ill be getting an mri to tell for sure. im a little worried about a non union. what could the cyst mean?

Bone cyst may cause pathologic fracture (spontaneous bone fracture without injury or just a slight injury). I do not know how heavy your injury was. MRI is likely done to make sure you do not have a pathologic fracture due to that cyst because the treatment will be different. Leave the cyst alone if no fracture or surgery to pack the cyst to promote healing if you do have pathologic fracture.
