My 10yr/o had x-ray ortho said has a displaced patella then had mri and said what they thought was bone is calcification how is this possible to mix?

A regular: x ray cannot determine if a calcification is bone or not if it is located in a place where cartilage turn into bone in children!!! The MRI separate these diagnostic possibilities...... Hope this is helpful! Dr Z

I just got X-rays on my wrist from a 7wk injury and the ortho saw a cyst on my scaphoid bone but cant tell whether or not it is a fracture. Ill be getting an mri to tell for sure. Im a little worried about a non union. What could the cyst mean?
