A member asked:

I've had lumps on the back of my throat for over a month, is this a sign of throat cancer?

Need to examine: Cancer is unlikely. What you noticed are likely to be lumps of lymphoid tissue normally present on the back of the throat. If the lumps get bigger to twice the size, become ulcerated, or bleed, see a doctor. Otherwise you may entertain watchful waiting. For good health - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form. Practice safe sex.
