I had an ear infection and was prescribed amoxicillin. it got better in the first 5 days but in the 6th day it started getting worse again why?

Possible med fail: Amoxicillin does not work 100% of the time. If the pain has returned, you should go back to your doctor and let them reevaluate. You might need to be on a different anabiotic. Or you could have a swimmer's ear infection going on at the same time and would need ear drops. Call your doctor for an appointment.
