Mgt: There are many different types of pneumonia. If the pneumonia is caused by common bacterial organisms, your child should begin to improve during the course of the antibiotics. If there is prolonged cough, fever, chest pain or other symptoms, please see your PCP. If there is a pattern of recurrent ear/sinus and lung infections, an immune workup can be ordered by Healthtap by virtual appointment.
