Periodontal Ligament: Your teeth are anchored into your bone by a thin ligament. This ligament allows your teeth to move just a bit when pressure is placed, sort of like a shock absorber. It is perfectly normal.

Not normal: You should not be able to move your teeth with your tongue. Mobility could indicate trauma from malocclusion, infection of supporting bone/gums, and/or systemic disorder/disease. This can be quite serious. Please see your Dentist ASAP.
