Biopsy: Since the chronic itching is localized to such a specific area of the body then the first step is to have a doctor visualize the area. After doing an exam they may be able to make a diagnosis. If not then a biopsy of the area can be done to determine what is causing the itching. Then after a diagnosis is made the proper medication can be prescribed to solve the problem.
