4-6 weeks: Vidaza can cause prolonged neutropenia which can be followed by remission and recovery of neutrophils....but you need to give yourself 1 to 2 more weeks. On the other hand blood counts can remain very low if the MDS is resistant to Vidaza in which case there may not be any recovery of Neutrophils. A Bone marrow exam can help to differentiate these 2 possibilities and help in deciding the next step
