How effective is the implanon implant on its 2 yr?

Still effective: Implanon is designed to be effective for 3 years, so you should still be fine after 2 years. If you are significantly overweight then you may not want to push it to the full 3 years.

3 Years?: The information from the manufacturer states the implant can be effective for up to 3 years. I have not seen failures in the emergency department at this time. Remember all patients have different experiences, but, again the current information is that it is good up to 3 years.
