Dyspnea: Do you feel short of breath while you're at rest but not when you are walking or exercising? If so this sensation may be more due to tension and anxiety. If you feel breathless with only mild or moderate exertion, then you should be evaluated with at least a chest xray, ekg and pulmonary function tests, as a simple exam with a stethoscope won't be sufficient to detect many abnormalities.
