I have a finger nail stuck in the gum above my front tooth, its between.the tooth and the gum so i cant see it.

Hmmm: Not sure what you were doing and why. Not even sure a piece of your nail is actually stuck underneath the gums. Perhaps you just irritated it. I suggest you see a local dentist to resolve this issue if normal tooth brushing and flossing (along with some salt water rinses) doesn't heal the area withing a few days.

Floss, DDS: If it is really stuck, you have to get it removed. Try floss. If it persists, see DDS ASAP.

Get help: Sounds like you need to see a Dentist for help. Dentist has appropriate instruments and visualization techniques to help you. Please call Dentist now and request emergency appointment. In the meantime, rinse with warm salt water every few hours to reduce swelling.
