See a dentist: Or periodontist. You may be able to correct the problem with a grafting procedure after a thorough examination to determine the true cause and the best solution. (you will however most likely going to have to stop biting your nails.

See dentist: May not just be from nail biting. See a dentist first then work together on the nail biting...Got to stop...Para functional habit that can create a lot of problems.

See a dentist: Receding gums isn't a good sign and can't repair themselves. It is not only cosmetic problem; they can lead to tooth decay, tooth loss and/or gum disease. Unfortunately, there is no cure for receding gums, but there are some preventive and simple steps: soft brushing, reduce plaque buildup, night guard and most important visit your dentist 2X a year. Take care.
