Needs reevaluation: Ear pain from a middle ear infection generally improves by 48 hours after starting antibiotics but hearing can be decreased for several weeks. You report a recent ear irrigation and ear wax blockage, and there may also be a component of external otitis as well that may require ear drops. A reevaluation is warranted.
