? eczema: If you have a history of eczema, allergic rhinitis or asthma, I'd ask your physician about DermOtic. You can have eczema in your ear canals, and this could help. Of course, don't put Q-tips or ear plugs in.

Otitis externa: Otitis externa may be infectious due to virus (shingles), bacteria or fungi, or inflammatory as in eczema or psoriasis. Without an obvious bacterial cause, steroid for inflammation such as DermOtic or steroid/acetic acid such as VosolHC may be appropriate. Definitely NO cotton swab use in the ear canal. Do not over irrigate the ear canal with wax softeners.
