When you get a routine bloodtest at an annual checkup with your doctor, what is generally tested for?

Depends..: In general if annual exam - depends on age and medical history. Typical test has Lipid panel, CBC( complete blood count) Live and kidney function , Fasting glucose, urinalysis. Optional could be Thyroid( TSH) , STD screen, in obese also HbA1c ( diabetes), man over 50 PSA( prostate).See your doctor to discuss. It is very good idea to have annual exam even if you feel good.
