Likely aortic pulse: While gently pressing on the abdomen of a calm lean child, you can often feel the pulsations of the major artery, the aorta, as it courses through the abdomen usually midway between the belly button and the tip of the breast bone. It is usually painless. If this does not describe what you feel then it will be prudent to take her to her pediatrician for examination. Take care
