Recently i had lab work done. my globulin level was 5.8. my dr did further testing and total globulin was 4.9. my gamma globulin was a little elevated?

Need more info: All laboratory results need to be interpreted in the clinical context and the doctor who ordered the tests is usually in the best position to do that. Having said that, it would have helped to have the actual results. Elevated gamma globulins may indicate the presence of inflammation.

What is causing my total protein to consistently increase with each lab I have done? It was flagged high for the first time recently, and this is when the trend was discovered. 8.6 last month. 8.4 now (globulin has come down in the last few weeks).

Y albumin 3.9 and the normal range for albumin is 4.8 at my lab so it mean that globulin level is high so could it be high because multiple meanloma?
