Sore throat: is rather a symptom, and a doctor examined you already, with the mild fever and the small lymph node, you may be having pharyngitis, which can still be viral. Rest, fluids, pain killers/antipyretics and salt water gargles would be enough, if no improvement in few days see your doctor again, best wishes
