A member asked:

Concerned. i go to bed at 12-1am most nights. apparently melatonin levels are higher at night and arificial light lower them. will i get cancer?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Not due to this: Going to bed at 1 am is not a cause of cancer. For good health - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form. Practice safe sex.
