Exactly that: An uneven bite resulting in uneven forces on certain teeth, as well as crowded teeth resulting in difficult areas to keep clean may result in recession. Hard brushing can contribute, too. Do you have periodontitis?

Sounds like: Sounds like you may have a malocclusion (bad bite) where your teeth are positioned off of proper bone support. Improper tooth position is probably the cause of your tissue loss, rather than the other way around. Complexity of your problem mandates that you see 2 Specialists, an Orthodontist and a Periodontist. This is a progressive problem that requires immediate intervention.
