Needs evaluation: It's hard to know for sure, but as Dr. Gill says, this could be a form of angina. Why did you have a catheterization? See a cardiologist to evaluate. An old joke is "Doctor, it hurts when I do this." Doctor says "Then don't do it!" Based on your reaction, I strongly advise that you stop eating heavy meals! For whatever reason, it is creating significant stress in your body.

Reflux: Your food is refluxing into your esophagus and irritating it and the vagus nerve there and triggering chest pain and palpitations. Please see your doctor for evaluation and treatment.
